GENERAL INFORMATION
Port and End Port Membrane Housings are manufactured using computer-controlled filament winding machines and high-precision processing equipment. With a team of highly skilled experts in composites technology and state-of-the-art in-house processing machines, these membrane housings are offered in a complete range of high-quality options in 4″ and 8″ diameters.
The membrane housings are available in both end entry and side entry designs, suitable for residential, commercial, municipal, and industrial RO applications. They come with operating pressures of 300psi, 450psi, 600psi, 1000psi, and 1200psi. Constructed from fiberglass-epoxy composites, these housings meet the stringent demands of RO processes.
ASME CERTIFICATION
These membrane housings comply with the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME, Section X) for Fibre Reinforced Plastic Pressure vessels. The BPVC provides comprehensive rules for the design, fabrication, installation, inspection, care, and use of pressure vessels.
SALIENT FEATURES
- Internal diameter is mirror-finished for quick and easy loading and unloading of membranes.
- Quick lock head retention system allows easy access to membranes.
- External surfaces are coated with high-gloss polyurethane paint for UV resistance and aesthetics.
- Head assembly includes a single-piece molded seal plate, a high-quality head seal, and an aluminum alloy bearing plate. The unique design of the head seal prevents rolling during insertion and removal, facilitating easy fitment and removal.
Product Variations:
- 8″ housings are available in lengths from 1 to 7 elements for all pressure ratings (300psi to 1200psi) in both end port and multiport configurations. Multiport options for 8″ housings include 1.5″, 2″, 2.5″, 3″, and 4″ diameter IPS grooved feed/concentrate ports for vessel interconnection.
- 4″ housings are available in lengths from 1 to 6 elements for all pressure ratings (300psi to 1200psi) in end port and multiport configurations with a 1″ port size for side entry designs.
- Side entry models feature flat seating surfaces within the circular membrane housing, ensuring excellent sealing of the side ports, which include a threaded metallic sleeve and nut.
